A magical and very British collaboration

For more than 20 years, Liberty fabrics have woven their magic into Trotters' Collections, and this year we are proudly celebrating this partnership. 2025 is very special for these two renowned British brands, with both marking milestone birthdays. Liberty is 150, and here at Trotters, we are spring chickens at 35!

Prints fit for princesses, and little princes too

The Liberty Archives unveil a treasure-trove of iconic prints and patterns; many of them floral, and very often historic and instantly recognisable. Our design team have enjoyed exploring and working together over the years, loving how each Liberty collection tells its own unique story through the power of print.

Whilst Liberty prints often bring flowers and plants to mind, we adore their character prints too - with bugs, animals, dinosaurs and fishes also coming to life across our Collections.
Storybook favourites also abound in the archives: Even Peppa Pig features in a Liberty print at Trotters.
We often create bespoke colourways of print, re-colouring from the archive and classic tones to sit beautifully with our own palette and seasonal stories.

A very famous fabric

Our girls' dresses take the number one spot for embracing Liberty prints, and we use their Tana Lawn™ cotton fabric, taking its name from Lake Tana in Ethiopia, East Africa, where the original cotton grew.
We admire how it is soft yet durable, cooling yet warm and so importantly in childrenswear, it is very comfortable and smooth on the skin.

Seasonal updates and fabrics to fall in love with

For our birthday celebration, we fell for the Liberty High Tea print, filled with celebratory cupcakes, jellies, trifles and tea party fun. We developed this on a candy pink base which is our very own colour, and added a subtle sparkle to feel truly joyful. We paired this with a classic Trotters shape, gorgeous puff sleeves, a netting underskirt, a crisp white smocked panel and a Peter Pan collar. This is perfect for celebrations and making your own special memories this summer.
